OstoWatch
OstoWatch is a student-led healthcare innovation project focused on improving the daily lives of ostomy patients. Our system combines protective ostomy support technology with smart leak and infection detection sensors, paired with a mobile app that delivers real-time alerts and monitoring. By helping users identify issues earlier and feel more confident in everyday situations, OstoWatch aims to increase comfort, safety, and peace of mind for patients and caregivers alike.

Blue Ocean Student Entrepreneur Competition – Top 30 –
Selected among the Top 30 teams in the Blue Ocean competition, the world’s largest virtual entrepreneurship competition for high school students. The competition features 23,000+ high school students from 173 countries and territories, representing over 9,000 high schools, all working to develop innovative, scalable solutions to real-world problems. Being named a Top 30 finalist highlights OstoWatch’s strength as both a healthcare innovation and a viable entrepreneurial solution, evaluated on creativity, feasibility, market potential, and real-world impact.
Conrad Challenge Finalist
Selected as a finalist in the Conrad Challenge, an international innovation and entrepreneurship competition that brings together student teams from around the world to develop solutions to real-world problems. As part of the final stage, our team was invited to Space Center Houston, where we showcased OstoWatch in front of industry professionals, educators, entrepreneurs, and the general public. This experience provided the opportunity to present our prototype, receive expert feedback, and engage with a global community of young innovators and STEM leaders.
Toshiba ExploraVision Honorable Mention
Recognized in the ExploraVision program, a science and technology competition run by the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) and supported by Toshiba. ExploraVision challenges students to envision future technologies by combining scientific research, innovation, and creativity. Receiving an Honorable Mention highlights OstoWatch’s strong scientific foundation, thoughtful design process, and potential for future real-world application in healthcare technology.
Samsung Promising STEM Innovation Award
Recognized as a winner of the Samsung STEM Innovation Award, which highlights student-led projects demonstrating strong creativity, technical skill, and real-world impact potential in science, technology, engineering, and math. This award honors innovative solutions that address meaningful challenges and showcases OstoWatch’s commitment to developing practical healthcare technology with the potential for real-world application and improvement in patient care.
